Hampden Street School Fundraising

Gala 2011 THANK YOU

A huge THANKYOU to all who supported our Gala & Art Exhibition this year.  It was a very successful community night and we are happy to announce over $20,000 was raised for the school.  This money will help fund the continued refurbishment of the school hall.

Thank you to all who baked goodies for the event, donated items when required, sorted items prior to the evening and for those who helped man the stalls on the night.  This event can only happen with the help of the entire school community so thank you to all.

Our Inaugural Art Exhibition kindly sponsored by Fresh Choice Nelson was a great success with over 15 pieces of art selling on the night.  We look forward to this becoming a permanent part of our Twilight Gala.

Thank you to the following businesses that supported our Twilight Gala with donations and or discounts on products & services:

Nelson Boys College, Polar Refrigeration, New World Nelson, Night Owl Store, The Water Filter Company, Nelson Girls Preparatory School, Nelson Cadets, Sports Tasman, Mitre 10 Garden Centre, Bunnings Garden Centre, Pommeroys, Lion Breweries, Nelson Food Distributors, The National Bank, More FM, Armourguard, Hey Sushi, Fresh Choice Nelson, St John Ambulance, The Fire Service, Blast Entertainment, Programmed Property Services, Pattisons Swimming, Hospice Nelson, Hirepool,  Janet Bathgate, and all the artists that exhibited pieces of work for sale in our Art Exhibition.

WE HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A HAPPY & SAFE CHRISTMAS AND A GREAT SUMMER

SEE YOU IN 2012.

Note from the Chairperson

Hi my name is Kate Cronin.  My daughter Samantha is in Year 6 and my son Jack is in Year 4.  I have been on the committee for the past 3+ years and have enjoyed my time working on the various fundraising events.

The committee is a great way to contribute to the school through various fundraising events.  It is also a fantastic opportunity to meet other families within the school across all syndicate areas.

Hampden Street is a great school with a lot to offer our children.  The Fundraising Committee is a way to raise funds for the “extras” that we all would love our children to have access too.

We are always looking for new fundraising ideas so please feel free anytime to contact me with these.

I am looking forward to my time as Chairperson for the Fundraising Committee and working closely with the school community to achieve our goals.
